To be a friend is to decide to become a brother/sister. And that means to stay with someone, even when everyone walks out of his/her life, to be patient with him/her, to love him/her when s/he’s unlovable. To be a friend means to accept a person, not just for who s/he is, but for who s/he isn’t. A friend is a million little things, and you have to be all that, sometimes, even more.
